Earn ERE credits on your charging sessions
Charging at home via Groendus, Athlon or Ayvens? The ERE on your home-charged kWh is yours, not the leasing company's. Joulo is an independent ERE filing service: your charger stays where it is and you register your sessions through Joulo.

The charging platform behind lease and fleet
Groendus provides the charging and energy infrastructure behind several lease and fleet partners. Your charger and sessions are managed on the Groendus / Powerdale platform, often under your lease partner's brand.
Groendus / Powerdale
The charging platform and back-office for home and workplace charging, with its own portal, app and session overview.
Athlon & Ayvens
Lease and fleet partners (Ayvens was formed from ALD Automotive and LeasePlan) run their charging services on this platform.
Home charging
Many lease drivers charge at home on a MID-certified charger • exactly the kWh that earns ERE.
The ERE is yours, not the leasing company's
Under the 2026 Regeling energie vervoer, the ERE belongs to the holder of the energy contract on the connection • your EAN. If you charge at home on your own connection, the proceeds are yours. Even when the car and charger are arranged through Athlon, Ayvens or Groendus: they provide the mobility, but your electricity contract is yours.
Only one party can register the ERE per connection. With Joulo you make that choice yourself, independent of your lease or charging contract.
Turn your Groendus session data into ERE credits
Keep your charger with your lease partner, earn ERE credits via Joulo. Log in once • the rest is automatic.
You connect your account yourself
You enter your own Groendus / lease partner credentials and explicitly authorise Joulo to fetch sessions on your behalf. You pick your own partner (Athlon or Ayvens) in the process.
No migration, no hardware swap
Your charger stays managed by your lease partner. Your charge card, reimbursement and existing portal keep working. Joulo only reads telemetry and checks MID/Eichrecht.
Automatic ERE registration
Joulo registers your charging sessions as ERE's with the NEa and sells them at the right time. Quarterly payout to your IBAN.
Flexible route choice
You use the same account and charging data to choose your ERE route. This keeps you in control of terms, payout and service fee.
How your sessions get loaded in
Your charging sessions are yours. There are two ways to get them into Joulo • manually or, once available for your partner, automatically via the connection.
Manual: download and upload
Export your charging sessions from the Groendus / lease partner portal and upload the files into Joulo yourself. No integration, no automation • just your own data.
Automatic: on your behalf (rolling out)
We are rolling out the direct Groendus connection step by step per lease partner. Joulo then performs that same step automatically: with your credentials, your authorisation, and stops the moment you say so.
Who is this for?
Three steps to get started
1. Create your Joulo account
Signing up is free. You immediately check whether your home charger is MID-eligible.
2. Load in your sessions
Upload your sessions manually, or connect automatically once the Groendus connection is live for your partner.
3. Start earning
Joulo registers your ERE credits with the NEa and pays out every quarter to your IBAN.
