Switch in 4 steps
Sign up and connect your charging station
Create an account on joulo.nl and connect your charging station via cloud API or OCPP. You can do this today. Your sessions show up in your dashboard right away.
Pick the start date 1 January 1971
In your registration we ask from when Joulo may register. Choose "1 January 1971 • I am switching from another registration provider" and enter the name of your current provider. We prepare your mandate for 1 January.
Cancel your current mandate by 31 December
You do this yourself with your current provider. Check the notice period: some providers apply a deadline of 30 November. We send you a reminder in mid-October. This year's sessions stay with your old provider.
From 1 January we register
Until then your dashboard shows "You count from 1 January 1971". On 1 January your mandate with Joulo starts and your sessions count automatically. Your first payout follows after the first quarter.
Important: your EAN code
Per connection (EAN) only one registration provider can register per calendar year. That is why your mandate with Joulo starts on 1 January and you cancel your current mandate by 31 December. You do not need to arrange anything with the NEa; we do that.
Watch out with other providers
Some registration providers use contract terms of 1 to 5 years. Always check your terms before you cancel. Watch for cancellation fees or penalty clauses.
Switching season: move over on 1 January
Mandates run per calendar year. Many providers apply a cancellation deadline at the end of the year, sometimes as early as 30 November. So sign up with Joulo now and pick the start date 1 January 1971. In mid-October we let you know it is time to cancel. Then that is all you have to do.
Leaving Joulo? Always possible.
You can leave Joulo at any time too. You can delete your details (including EAN code, IBAN and serial number) yourself in your dashboard. You can also download your full data, so nothing is lost.
Contract term at Joulo
At Joulo the contract term is 1 year, cancellable yearly. The mandate runs per calendar year. Joulo is on the official NEa list of registration providers.
