ERE registration for home charging
ERE registration converts your home charging sessions into tradable ERE units under Dutch regulation. Joulo manages registration, administration, and quarterly payouts so you avoid manual work.
How it works
- 1. Connect your charger and confirm a built-in MID meter.
- 2. Complete your registration with EAN and location details.
- 3. Joulo processes ERE registration and pays out quarterly.
Fee structure
20% standard service fee • reducible to 10% via partner discounts and referrals.
What you need
- A charger with a built-in MID-certified meter. An external sub-meter in the meter cabinet is not a valid source for home charging.
- The EAN code and address of your grid connection.
- An IBAN for your quarterly payouts.
Retroactive registration
Charging sessions can be registered back to 1 January 2026, the date the scheme started. Joulo detects this automatically when you sign up, so your first payout includes the credits you already built up.
Who can take part
Homeowners, businesses and owners' associations (VvEs) with their own charger can all take part, as long as the charger has a built-in MID meter. Lease drivers qualify too: the ERE payout goes to whoever holds the energy contract.
