Yes. The NexBlue Max range (Edge Max and Delta Max) has a built-in, MID-certified energy meter (±1% accuracy, OLED display). That makes your charger directly eligible for ERE registration via Joulo.

How does Joulo connect to my NexBlue?

Via the NexBlue Cloud API. You log in once with your NexBlue account; after that Joulo reads your charging sessions automatically and syncs every 15 minutes. We use read access only • we never change settings or start or stop your charger.

Can I also connect via OCPP?

Yes. NexBlue chargers also support OCPP 1.6J via the Partner app, with Joulo as backoffice. The Cloud API is the easiest route; OCPP is available as an alternative for technical setups.

Step-by-step setup

Start the connection

In your Joulo dashboard, select 'Connect charger' and choose NexBlue.

Log in with your NexBlue account

Authorise Joulo via the NexBlue Cloud API. We only read your charging sessions • we never change settings or start or stop your charger.

Choose the specific NexBlue charger you want to connect.

Confirm your MID meter

Joulo automatically verifies whether your model has a built-in MID meter. The NexBlue Edge Max and Delta Max do. If your charger has no MID, Joulo follows up with an upgrade quote or SAP guidance.

Done!

Sessions will now sync automatically from the NexBlue Cloud every 15 minutes.

What happens next?

Joulo reads your sessions from the NexBlue Cloud and registers qualifying sessions as ERE's.
