Your choice

Your charger at 50five, your ERE's at Joulo

The ERE belongs to the holder of the energy contract on the connection. That is you, not the party that manages your charger. 50five offers ERE registration too. So you choose between two routes.

On the NEa list

Joulo B.V. is on the official NEa list of registration service providers.

How it works

Three steps

1. Create your Joulo account

Signing up is free. Pick 50five when you connect.

2. Sign in with your 50five account

You sign in yourself and authorise Joulo to fetch your charging sessions. Your chargers appear right away.

3. We do the rest

We fetch your sessions from 1 January 2026, register your ERE's and pay out every quarter.

The connection

What we do and do not do

Automatic

We read your chargers and charging sessions from your 50five account. No uploads, no meter readings to submit.

You stay in control

We only work with your authorisation. You disconnect whenever you want from your dashboard.

MID meter checked

Only kWh from a charger with a factory-fitted MID meter earn ERE's. We check that when you connect.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The ERE belongs to the holder of the energy contract on the connection: you. Your charger stays with 50five. For registration you choose a party yourself. You can authorise one party per connection.

Yes. 50five offers its own ERE registration, and Joulo is an alternative. Service fees, contract terms, cancellation costs and payout timing of both are side by side above, with the source.

You sign in once with your 50five account and authorise Joulo to fetch your charging sessions. We fetch your chargers, check the MID meter and then read your sessions automatically. Nothing changes on your charger.

Yes. On 1 May 2025, 50five took over the home and workplace chargers of Shell Recharge Solutions. Your charger and account now run at 50five. So you connect with your 50five account.

Yes. For ERE's your charger needs a factory-fitted MID-certified meter. We check that automatically when you connect. If your charger does not qualify, we tell you at once, with the routes that remain.

Yes, if your charger has a MID meter. When you connect, we fetch your charging sessions from 1 January 2026, the start date of the scheme. We register 2026 sessions up to and including 25 February 2027.

Usually within fifteen minutes after a charging session ends. We fetch the data continuously.

Yes, per 1 January. Sign up now, choose 1 January as the start date in your registration and cancel your current authorisation per 31 December. Check your current terms for the cost of cancelling. Until 1 January you already see your sessions in your dashboard. From 1 January they count.

A 20% service fee. You only pay on ERE's that have been sold. We pay out every quarter to your IBAN. The contract is cancellable yearly.

Joulo connects directly to the 50five / EVC-net cloud API. You log in with your 50five account and Joulo automatically imports your sessions and MID meter readings for ERE registration. This works for 50five chargers such as the Advanced Flex 1.1, and for Alfen Eve models running on the 50five back-office.

Yes. Shell Recharge home chargers and older NewMotion units managed by 50five connect through the same 50five cloud API. Chargers running directly on the E-Flux back-office (without a 50five account) connect through the charger flow in your dashboard.

No contractual or commercial relationship. Joulo and 50five have no contractual or commercial relationship. Joulo is an independent ERE filing service. This page explains how you, as a 50five customer, can choose to register your charging sessions with the NEa through Joulo using your own credentials and your explicit authorisation. 50five is not a Joulo partner and does not endorse Joulo.
