Europe's largest home-charging CPO
As a Charge Point Operator, 50five runs its own charging platform and has managed the entire Shell Recharge Solutions home and workplace portfolio since May 2025. The platform runs on EVC-net (50five.evc-net.com) and operates in six European markets.
CPO & platform
HQ in 's-Hertogenbosch. Runs its own charging network plus the acquired Shell Recharge Solutions home/workplace base.
EVC-net portal
The web portal for account management, session overview and transaction data. Integrated with Gireve, Hubject and e-clearing.net.
6 markets
Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France and the United Kingdom • one integration covers them all.
Were you a Shell Recharge customer?
On May 1, 2025, 50five acquired the entire home and workplace portfolio of Shell Recharge Solutions in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France and the UK. Your existing charger and account now run under 50five on the EVC-net platform.
Joulo connects directly to that platform • without you having to change anything about your hardware or OCPP settings. This lets you consciously choose which ERE route to use based on the same charging data.
Joulo + 50five
Keep your chargers with 50five, earn ERE credits via Joulo. Log in once • the rest is automatic.
Direct account connection
Log in once with your 50five / EVC-net username and password. Joulo automatically detects the market your account runs in (NL, BE/LUX, DE, FR, UK).
No migration, no hardware swap
Your charger stays managed by 50five. Joulo only reads telemetry via EVC-net and automatically checks whether your charger is MID/Eichrecht-certified.
Automatic ERE registration
Joulo registers your charging sessions as ERE certificates with the NEa and sells them at the right time. Quarterly payout to your IBAN.
Flexible route choice
You use the same 50five / EVC-net account and charging data to choose your ERE route. This keeps you in control of terms, payout and service fee.
ERE: with 50five directly or with Joulo?
50five also acts as an ERE filing service and publishes its own fee tiers on 50five.com. Joulo is another path: the same charger and EVC-net account, but registration and payout through Joulo — 20% standard, down to 10% via referrals. You don’t need to complete five years of tiers before lowering your fee.
50five
- Service fee (tiers) — 23% (1 yr) · 21% (2 yr) · 19% (3 yr), calendar years 2026–2028 (source: 50five.com).

- Contract — 1, 2 or 3 years.
Joulo
- Service fee — 20% standard incl. VAT · down to 10% via referrals. No tiers, no waiting.
