    Ohme now works with Joulo

The Ohme connection is live. You sign in once with your Ohme account, after which Joulo fetches your charging sessions automatically and registers them for ERE. The Ohme Home Pro has a built-in MID meter, so it counts right away.

Ohme is on board. From now on you can connect your Ohme charger to Joulo, and it works the way it should: sign in once, after which Joulo reads your charging sessions automatically and turns them into verifiable kWh data for ERE. No more uploading photos, no typing over kWh readings.

The Ohme on the wall is already a familiar sight at many homes. What was missing was the layer underneath: turning your charging sessions into money through ERE, without you having to do anything for it. That layer is now finished and tested.

    How the connection works

In Joulo you choose Ohme and sign in with your own Ohme account. That's it. After that, Joulo fetches your charging sessions in the background every hour and neatly adds them up into complete sessions. Your older sessions are included too, so the history you've already built up isn't lost.

Important: Joulo only reads your charging data. We don't control your charger and can't start or stop your charging. The connection exists to turn your kWh into ERE, nothing more.

Only the Home Pro counts for ERE

For ERE, a MID-certified meter is mandatory. At Ohme, the Ohme Home Pro has a built-in MID meter. Joulo now recognises it automatically, in every variant (7, 11 or 22 kW). As soon as you connect, you see "MID confirmed" in your dashboard and know your sessions count.

The Ohme Home and the Ohme ePod have no built-in MID meter. Have one of those models? Then there are two clean routes:

    1. A quote for an upgrade to a charger with a built-in MID meter.
    2. A Secondary Allocation Point (SAP) from your grid operator, with a one-off installation fee and a small monthly amount.

For private home charging, only the metered supply point itself counts, so that route deliberately isn't available.
