Your first payout follows release 2 of the NEa register

An ERE only exists once a charging session is booked in the NEa register. Booking opens with release 2, and the NEa has not set a date for it yet. We expect your first payout in the course of October 2026.

Your first payout follows release 2 of the NEa register

Why your payout waits for the NEa

An ERE only exists once a charging session is booked in the Register Energie voor Vervoer (REV) of the NEa. After that, we transfer the EREs to a buyer, and the buyer pays. Booking electricity by registration providers opens with release 2 of that register. Until then, no registration provider can book charging sessions or deliver EREs.

How the NEa planning moved

The NEa puts the register live in four releases.

  • In its webinar of June 2026, the NEa named end of June to mid July for release 1, and about end of August for release 2.
  • Release 1 went live on 14 August. That day, the NEa published a new planning, with release 2 in September.
  • Release 2 is not live yet. The NEa has not given a new date. We expect your first payout in the course of October 2026.

The NEa wrote with that planning that it can move if the tests give reason to. That fits this register: every ERE of every provider and every fuel supplier will pass through it, and an error affects everyone. We check the register after every release to see what changed. Your dashboard shows when we last checked. The full planning is in the NEa planning for the REV (in Dutch).

What happens once release 2 is live

  1. We book your charging sessions from 1 January 2026.
  2. We transfer the EREs to the buyers and send them an invoice.
  3. The buyers pay within 5 days of the invoice.
  4. You get a message that your amount is ready. You check it in your dashboard and approve it.
  5. We transfer your money to the IBAN in your profile.

After that, we pay out every quarter.

What you see in your dashboard now

Under Earnings, your earnings move through five phases:

  • Still in review: your charging sessions from the last three days. A meter reading can still change.
  • Still to sell: charged and checked, but not sold yet. The amount is a forecast at today's market rate.
  • Reserved: sold. We agreed a sale with a buyer and assigned your EREs to it. The price is fixed. The buyer has not paid yet.
  • Ready to pay out: the buyer has paid. You get a message from us, check the amount in your dashboard and approve it.
  • Paid out: transferred to your IBAN after your approval.

So sold is not yet paid out. Until release 2, everything sold stays at Reserved, and Ready to pay out and Paid out stay at zero. That is not an error, and you do not need to do anything now.

Has another provider already paid out?

An ERE only exists once it is booked. So until release 2, nobody can deliver EREs. Money transferred now is an advance on EREs that do not exist yet. A buyer only pays such an advance at a lower price, because the buyer takes the risk that the delivery does not happen.

We sell at the market price, and the buyers only pay once we transfer the EREs. Our 2026 sales are agreed, and nothing is paid yet. So we hold no money from buyers yet. Every sale is in our open sales log, with date, broker and price.

Ready for the check

After booking, an independent verifier checks the bookings. The verifier checks that every kWh traces back to a charging session and a MID meter. We read your charging sessions automatically since 1 January, with the readings of your MID meter. So the records are ready the moment the register opens.

Whoever collects charging sessions by hand, or starts collecting later in the year, has more to explain at that check. If the verifier rejects a booking, it yields no EREs.

What you can do

Nothing for now. Approving comes once your amount is ready, and then you get a message from us. Your charging sessions still count. Sessions from 2026 can be booked until 25 February 2027, so your sessions are not lost. Is your IBAN not in your profile yet? Add it under Account.

One thing stays the same: counting starts at your MID meter. Sessions from before that meter never count.

When the NEa names a date for release 2, we update this article.
