Which Wallbox models work?

Pulsar Plus, Pulsar Max, Commander 2 and Copper SB connect via the Wallbox Cloud, but have no built-in MID meter, so ERE needs a new MID charger or a SAP. The eM4 and eM4 Twin have a built-in MID meter and are directly eligible. The Supernova and Quasar are DC chargers: their meter doesn't measure what goes into the car, so they don't count for ERE. Check your exact model in the table above.

Do I need the myWallbox app?

You need a myWallbox account, but you don't need to keep the app installed after connecting.

Does Joulo work with Wallbox?

Yes • Wallbox Pulsar Plus, Pulsar Pro and Commander 2 connect through your existing myWallbox account. Joulo imports your sessions automatically. ERE requirement: a built-in MID-certified meter • not every Wallbox variant has one. Check the model on joulo.nl/check-laadstation.

Connect Wallbox charger to Joulo

Can I connect my Wallbox to Joulo for ERE registration? Yes, with the right model. The consumer models (Pulsar Plus, Pulsar Max, Commander and Copper SB) connect via the Wallbox Cloud API with your myWallbox account, but have no built-in MID meter • which ERE requires. Joulo then quotes a new charger with a built-in MID meter, or guides you to a Secondary Allocation Point (SAP). Your sessions count from the moment the MID meter is in place. The eM4 and eM4 Twin do have a built-in MID meter and are directly eligible (see the table below). The Supernova and the Quasar are DC chargers and don't count for ERE. The Supernova's MID meter sits before the conversion to DC, so it also counts the charger's conversion loss. Wallbox says the Quasar's meter is for information only.

Step-by-step setup

Start the connection

In your Joulo dashboard, select 'Connect charger' and choose Wallbox.

Log in with myWallbox

Enter your myWallbox email and password. Joulo uses these to access the Wallbox API securely.

Select your charger

Choose which Wallbox charger to connect if you have multiple units.

Confirm your MID meter

Joulo automatically checks whether your model has a built-in MID meter. The eM4 and eM4 Twin do. The consumer models (Pulsar Plus, Pulsar Max, Commander, Copper SB) do not • for those we follow up with a quote for a new MID-certified charger or guidance for a Secondary Allocation Point (SAP). The Supernova and Quasar are DC chargers and don't count for ERE.

Your sessions will sync automatically going forward. ERE registration starts once a MID-certified meter is in place.
