How does the Joulo integration work if I have an Ecotap charger?

You sign in once with your Easy Charging Quality / Ecotap account (ecotap.evc-net.com) and authorise Joulo to fetch your charge points and sessions on your behalf. Joulo checks MID/Eichrecht certification and syncs your sessions. No settings or hardware to touch.

What exactly is Ecotap?

Ecotap is a Dutch charging-station manufacturer that manages charging via the EVC-net platform (Last Mile Solutions). The consumer app is called Easy Charging Quality. You'll find your sessions and account at ecotap.evc-net.com.

Does my Ecotap account keep working?

Yes. Your charger stays fully managed by Ecotap / Easy Charging Quality. Joulo only reads your charging sessions for ERE registration • your charging, charge card and existing app stay the same.

Do I need a MID meter?

Yes • for ERE registration your charger must have a built-in MID-certified (Eichrecht) energy meter. Joulo checks this automatically after you connect and notifies you if your charger doesn't qualify.

What does Joulo cost and when am I paid?

Joulo charges a 20% service fee incl. VAT as standard, with a floor of 10% via referrals. You only pay on ERE credits that are actually sold. Joulo settles ERE per quarter and pays out to your IBAN. The contract is cancellable yearly.

How does the Ecotap integration work with Joulo?

Ecotap manages charging via the EVC-net platform, with Easy Charging Quality as the app (ecotap.evc-net.com). You sign in once with your Ecotap / Easy Charging Quality account and Joulo automatically imports your charging sessions and MID meter readings for ERE registration. Your charger, charge card and app keep working as before.

Under the 2026 Regeling energie vervoer, the ERE belongs to the holder of the energy contract on the connection • your EAN, not Ecotap. Which filing service you use is therefore your choice. There are two ways to get your charging sessions into Joulo.
