We spent months building the platform that turns home charging into ERE payouts • and only now got our own certified MID meter. An honest story about our own charger.

For months we have been building the platform that turns every kWh you charge at home into an ERE payout. We connect chargers from dozens of brands, read out certified meter values, and convert them into a registration with the NEa. For thousands of users.
And all that time, our own charger at home was still hanging there without a certified MID meter.
This week we fixed that. Our own Tesla Wall Connector 3 MID is now on the wall, and in the photo above you can see the first kilowatt-hours appearing on the certified meter. Lifetime Energy: 0.4645 kWh. Just getting started.
Why we were so late to it ourselves
Honestly? Because our heads were buried in the integrations. Easee, Enphase, Alfen, Peblar, Tesla • every connection for someone else came before our own. Our own upgrade kept slipping a week. Familiar to anyone who runs their own business.
There was also a substantive reason to wait until the path was clear. Since the Dutch Energy for Transport Regulation 2026, only the certified meter in the supply point itself counts for home charging • an external MID sub-meter is no longer allowed. That made the choice unambiguous: you need a charger with a built-in MID meter. For us, that became the Wall Connector 3 MID.
What is on the wall now
The Tesla Wall Connector 3 comes in two versions, and only the MID variant has a certified kWh meter on board. That certified serial number is the NEa's proof that the registered kilowatt-hours are accurate. No built-in MID meter, no ERE. The difference is on the inside, not the outside.

That stack of boxes is no coincidence. As a Tesla Wall Connector Certified Installer we deliver and install the chargers ourselves, and connect them to the Tesla Fleet API and your ERE pipeline in the same appointment.
Our own product, end to end
We now run at home exactly what our customers run: charger, certified MID meter, Fleet API, registration with the NEa, payout every quarter. No demo setup, no test account. Our own kilowatt-hours, through the same pipeline.
That is ultimately the best test there is. If we would not trust it for our own charging sessions, why would you trust it for yours?
