Update 29 May 2026: The software update is available through Peblar.com and Joulo. Joulo is sending out the file with the update this afternoon.

Update 22 May 2026: Peblar is moving the planned software update from Friday 22 May to Thursday 28 May 2026, after the Whitsun weekend. The connection with Joulo itself is ready and waiting on that firmware. Questions about the Peblar software go through Peblar • get in touch via peblar.com. For questions about your Joulo account, you can reach us.

From 28 May 2026, the Peblar integration is live in Joulo. Set your Peblar to Managed mode once with Joulo as the back office, and your charging sessions stream in automatically. Every quarter Joulo books them as ERE and pays the proceeds out to your account.

This is the same pattern we already use for Tesla, Easee, Wallbox and Alfen: connect once, then do nothing more. For Peblar it works over OCPP 1.6J, with Joulo as a ready-made back-office option in the Peblar firmware.

    Why Peblar

Peblar has been active as a Dutch charger brand under Prodrive Technologies since 2023. The brand is young, but the electronics background is not. We installed, tested and calibrated the Peblar Business in our own pipeline before releasing the connection.

What makes Peblar strong for ERE registration:

    • a MID-certified meter as standard, including in the Home Plus entry model
    • a modern OCPP 1.6J implementation with a stable data stream
    • Joulo sits in the firmware as a ready-made back office, no manual URL configuration
    • Dutch hardware and Dutch documentation

    The models we support

Two Peblar models connect directly with Joulo:

    • Peblar Home Plus for home charging, single-phase or three-phase, MID meter built in
    • Peblar Business for home or business, three-phase up to 22 kW, MID meter built in

Both models meet the MID requirement needed for ERE registration. If you have an older Peblar model without a MID meter, you can't book ERE • that's down to the regulation, not the connection.

    How the connection works

Joulo talks to your Peblar over OCPP 1.6J. The WebSocket gateway runs at wss://ocpp.joulo.nl. As soon as a charging session stops, your Peblar pushes the meter readings to Joulo. No CSV uploads, no manual readings, no extra hardware.

In the Peblar web interface, under Authorisation you choose Managed mode and select Joulo as the back office. A one-off step • after that you can forget the web interface.

    Ready in four steps

    1. Grab your installation card. Your Charge Point ID (for example PBLR-0046529) and OCPP password are on the card that comes with your Peblar. Lost it? Peblar support can issue a new card.
    2. Add your Peblar in Joulo. In 'Connect charger', choose Peblar and enter the Charge Point ID and password.
    3. Set your Peblar to Managed mode. Connect to the Peblar hotspot, open the web interface and choose Joulo as the back office under Authorisation.
    4. Done. Charging sessions arrive automatically. Every quarter Joulo books them as ERE and pays the proceeds out to your IBAN.

    Sessions from 1 January 2026

Only connecting now? Then we include charging sessions from 1 January 2026 in your first payout, as far as your charger has stored that data locally. The ERE scheme allows retroactive registration until the end of 2026.

    What you get back

Joulo retains a 20% service fee. Through referrals that drops to 10%. The rest is paid to your account every quarter, with per-session insight in your dashboard. Contract: cancellable annually.
