Does the Peblar have a MID meter for ERE registration?
Yes. Both current Peblar models, the Business and the Dual, have a factory-fitted MID meter. That makes your Peblar directly eligible for ERE registration via Joulo. Only the plain Peblar Home has no MID meter.

Create an account and connect
Grab your installation card. Charge Point ID (e.g. PBLR-1234567) and OCPP password are printed on it. Add your Peblar in Joulo via 'Connect charger'.

Complete your registration
Connect to the Peblar hotspot, open the web interface and select Joulo as Backoffice under Authorisation (Managed mode).

Get paid every quarter
Sessions arrive automatically. Joulo registers them as ERE each quarter and pays out to your account.

Frequently asked questions about Peblar ERE registration
Which Peblar models are supported?
The Peblar Business and the Peblar Dual, a charger with two sockets. Both have a factory-fitted MID meter, which ERE registration requires. Peblar no longer sells the Home Plus, but if you have one, you connect it the same way. The plain Peblar Home has no MID meter and does not count.
Does it cover sessions from before I connected?
Yes. Your sessions from 1 January 2026 count, even if you connect now. OCPP forwards new sessions automatically; you submit your history up to the connection once as a CSV export via 'Laaddata aanleveren' in your dashboard, and we add them.
Do I need to reconfigure my Peblar later?
No. You set your Peblar to Managed mode with Joulo as Backoffice once. The system handles the rest from there.
What if I lost my OCPP password?
Peblar support can reissue your installation card with the Charge Point ID and OCPP password. Without it, Joulo cannot authenticate your charger.
Does the Peblar have a MID meter?
Yes, the Peblar Business, Dual and Home Plus have a factory-fitted MID meter and count right away. Other Peblar variants lack that meter.
What does it cost?
A 20% service fee on the revenue. No subscription and no connection fee. The contract is cancellable yearly and we pay out every quarter.
Do I need a green energy contract?
No, and your supplier does not matter. ERE units cover the renewable share of the Dutch grid mix. For 2026 that share is 50.5%.
Do charging sessions from before I signed up count?
Yes, as long as the MID meter measured them. Sessions from 1 January 2026 count, and 2026 sessions can be registered up to and including 25 February 2027. Sessions from before the MID meter never count.
When does the money reach my account?
Every quarter, on the account from your registration. Your dashboard shows per charging session where the amount comes from.
What does it pay per year?
Our customers charge 4,200 kWh at home per year on average, roughly 21,000 kilometres, and receive 12.6 cents net per kWh on average. That is about €529 per year. The ERE price follows the market; every sale is in our open sales log.
