Where do I find the V2C API key?

In the V2C Cloud app: Settings → API. If you don't see it, update your V2C firmware first.

Which V2C models are supported?

The V2C Trydan, Trydan Pro and Trydan Pro MID all connect via the V2C Cloud API. For ERE registration only the Trydan Pro MID is directly eligible, with its MID meter from the factory. Without a MID meter, Joulo arranges an upgrade to the Trydan Pro MID or guidance for a Secondary Allocation Point (SAP).

My old sessions are missing

V2C syncs historical data from the Cloud. If sessions are missing, it may be because they weren't uploaded to the V2C Cloud. Make sure your charger has been connected to the internet.

Does Joulo work with V2C Trydan?

Yes, using an API key from your V2C account. Note: the standard Trydan without MID isn't eligible for ERE. You need the MID variant (Trydan Pro MID, identifiable by -MID at the end of the product code). Make sure the product description explicitly mentions 'MID' before buying.

Connect V2C Trydan to Joulo

Can I connect my V2C Trydan to Joulo for ERE registration? Yes, with the Trydan Pro MID. Only the V2C Trydan Pro MID has a MID meter from the factory, and it is directly eligible for ERE. On the regular Trydan Pro the meter is an option, and the standard Trydan has none. You connect with an API key from the V2C Cloud app. Without a MID meter, Joulo arranges an upgrade to the Trydan Pro MID or a Secondary Allocation Point (SAP). Your charging sessions count from the moment the MID meter is there.

Step-by-step setup

Find your API key

Open the V2C Cloud app on your phone. Go to Settings → API and copy your API key. If you don't see this option, make sure your V2C firmware is up to date.

Start the connection in Joulo

In your Joulo dashboard, select 'Connect charger' and choose V2C.

Paste your API key

Enter the API key from the V2C Cloud app. Joulo uses this to read your charging sessions from the V2C Cloud.

Confirm your MID meter

Joulo reads from the V2C Cloud whether your charger is a Trydan Pro MID and reads its MID meter. Without a MID meter, Joulo follows up with a quote for an upgrade to the Trydan Pro MID or guidance for a Secondary Allocation Point (SAP).

Done!

Joulo will now sync your V2C sessions automatically. ERE registration starts once a MID-certified meter is in place.
