Connect V2C Trydan to Joulo
Can I connect my V2C Trydan to Joulo for ERE registration? Yes, with the Pro. The V2C Trydan Pro has a built-in MID meter and is directly eligible for ERE. You connect with an API key from the V2C Cloud app. The standard Trydan (without 'Pro') has no built-in MID meter: for that, Joulo arranges an upgrade to the Trydan Pro or a Secondary Allocation Point (SAP).
What you need
- ✓A Joulo account (free)
- ✓The V2C Cloud app (iOS/Android)
- ✓A V2C Trydan Pro for direct ERE eligibility (built-in MID meter). The standard V2C Trydan (without 'Pro') does not have a built-in MID meter; Joulo arranges an upgrade to the Trydan Pro or guides you to a Secondary Allocation Point (SAP).
Step-by-step setup
Find your API key
Open the V2C Cloud app on your phone. Go to Settings → API and copy your API key. If you don't see this option, make sure your V2C firmware is up to date.
Start the connection in Joulo
In your Joulo dashboard, select 'Connect charger' and choose V2C.
Paste your API key
Enter the API key from the V2C Cloud app. Joulo uses this to read your charging sessions from the V2C Cloud.
Confirm your MID meter
Joulo automatically detects whether you have a Trydan Pro (built-in MID) or a standard Trydan (no MID). For a standard Trydan, Joulo follows up with a quote for an upgrade to the Trydan Pro or guidance for a Secondary Allocation Point (SAP).
Done!
Joulo will now sync your V2C sessions automatically. ERE registration starts once a MID-certified meter is in place.
What happens next?
Joulo syncs V2C sessions periodically. Historical sessions from before the connection may take up to 24 hours to appear.
