Does the V2C Trydan have a MID meter for ERE registration?
The V2C Trydan Pro has a built-in MID-certified meter and is directly eligible for ERE registration via Joulo's V2C Cloud connection. The standard Trydan (without Pro) does not • Joulo arranges an upgrade to the Trydan Pro, or you request a Secondary Allocation Point (SAP) with your grid operator.

Frequently asked questions about V2C ERE registration
Does the V2C Trydan have a MID meter?
Yes, the V2C Trydan Pro MID has a factory-fitted MID meter and counts right away. Other V2C variants lack that meter.
How do I connect my V2C with Joulo?
Go to v2c.cloud, generate an API key under 'API' in the menu, and paste it into Joulo. One-time action, after that everything runs automatically.
What can I earn with my V2C Trydan?
Our customer average is 4,200 kWh charged at home per year. Our customers receive 12.6 cents net per kWh on average, after service fees. That comes to about €529 per year in ERE's, €129 per quarter. At the standard 20% fee it is 12 cents per kWh.
What does it cost?
A 20% service fee on the revenue. No subscription and no connection fee. The contract is cancellable yearly and we pay out every quarter.
Do I need a green energy contract?
No, and your supplier does not matter. ERE units cover the renewable share of the Dutch grid mix. For 2026 that share is 50.5%.
Do charging sessions from before I signed up count?
Yes, as long as the MID meter measured them. Sessions from 1 January 2026 count, and 2026 sessions can be registered up to and including 25 February 2027. Sessions from before the MID meter never count.
When does the money reach my account?
Every quarter, on the account from your registration. Your dashboard shows per charging session where the amount comes from.
