ERE for business: registering commercial charging

Since July 2026, business registration at Joulo is open to every company. Does your fleet charge on your own premises, or do you have chargers at your office? Then every charged kWh delivers a CO₂ saving that is worth money as an ERE (emission reduction unit).

What is different from private registration?

Business customers pay a flat 15% service fee (excl. VAT) on ERE proceeds • without loyalty or referral discounts on top, and thus without hassle. The contract is a one-year contract with a one-month notice period. Payouts are quarterly, just like private customers.

What do you need?

You register your company with your chamber of commerce extract and your energy contract; we verify the MID certification of your chargers. Chargers connect through a cloud integration or OCPP • just like home chargers. Per connection (EAN) only one party can register credits per calendar year, so if a mandate is already running elsewhere, you declare that during registration and your mandate starts on 1 January.

Holding with multiple legal entities?

Add each entity with its own chamber of commerce number and IBAN. The quarterly payout then follows the entity IBAN, so proceeds land with the right company administratively.

The 100% route for own generation

By default the scheme uses the national grid average of 50.5% renewable (2026). If your fleet charges simultaneously with your own solar or wind generation, that electricity counts as 100% renewable • nearly doubling your ERE credits for those kWh. The evidence requirements are strict; we set this up together with you.
