Of je EVBox direct geschikt is voor ERE-registratie hangt af van het model. Nieuwere zakelijke modellen (BusinessLine) en sommige Liviqo-varianten hebben een ingebouwde MID-meter. De populaire Elvi heeft die standaard niet • daarvoor regelt Joulo een upgrade naar een EVBox met ingebouwde MID of een ander MID-merk, of vraag je een Secundair Allocatiepunt (SAP) aan bij je netbeheerder.
