ERE eligibility
It depends on your model. The SolarEdge One EV Charger Pro has a factory-fitted MID meter and is ready for ERE registration right away. The regular One EV Charger and the older inverter-coupled EV Charger do not have one. For those, Joulo quotes a new charger with a factory-fitted MID meter, or you request a Secondary Allocation Point (SAP) with your grid operator. Your sessions count from the moment the MID meter is in place.

We register your charging sessions as ERE's and pay out every quarter.
Create a free account and enter the charger ID of your SolarEdge in the connection wizard. It is the 8-digit number starting with 99 • you find it on the type plate and in the SolarEdge app.
We register your charger ID with SolarEdge. As soon as SolarEdge adds your charger to the export, your sessions arrive automatically. That usually takes about a week. Joulo then reads the model and your MID status.
Joulo registers your ERE credits with the NEa and pays out every quarter.

A very clear registration process. The technical connection afterwards is a bit tricky, but the issues with my SolarEdge One EV Pro charger were handled very well by Joulo. Works perfectly now, and the app is very clear too.

Yes, the SolarEdge One EV Charger Pro has a factory-fitted MID meter and counts right away. Other SolarEdge variants lack that meter.
You enter the charger ID of your charger in the connection wizard. It is the 8-digit number starting with 99, on the type plate and in the SolarEdge app. That is all: we register it with SolarEdge, and after that your charging sessions arrive at Joulo automatically.
Usually about a week. SolarEdge adds your charger to the export and from that moment your sessions flow in. For an older model (charger ID starting with 990) SolarEdge has to add the charger by hand, which can take a few weeks. Nothing after eight days? Send us a message from your dashboard.
Yes, for a charger with a factory-fitted MID meter. The SolarEdge export also contains your sessions from earlier this year, so we register from 1 January 2026. Does your charger have no MID meter? Then your sessions count from the moment a charger with a MID meter is installed.
Our customer average is 4,200 kWh charged at home per year. Our customers receive 12.6 cents net per kWh on average, after service fees. That comes to about €529 per year in ERE's, €129 per quarter. At the standard 20% fee it is 12 cents per kWh.
A 20% service fee on the revenue. No subscription and no connection fee. The contract is cancellable yearly and we pay out every quarter.
No, and your supplier does not matter. ERE units cover the renewable share of the Dutch grid mix. For 2026 that share is 50.5%.
