Part 6, the finale of our series on ERE trading. How Joulo pools your charging sessions, sells them at market price and pays out quarterly, net of the service fee.

Part 6 of 6, the finale of our (Dutch-language) series How ERE trading works. The previous parts explained the market. Now your place in it.
You have now seen the whole chain: the unit, the buyers, the sellers, the infrastructure and the transaction. The final question is the only one that really matters to you: how do you get paid by that market, while doing nothing for it?
The answer in one sentence: you charge at home, we do the registration, the audit, the sale and the payout.
1. Aggregation into a tradable lot
Your roughly 700 kg of CO2 equivalent per year is pooled with that of thousands of other drivers into lots of a million kg or more. That makes you fit the standard market, where on your own you would stay far below the threshold (see part 3, in Dutch). The connection to your charger runs automatically, through a cloud integration or OCPP.
2. Selling at market price
We do not sell at a fixed price, but benchmark against the Platts assessments (explained in Dutch) and competing offers from brokers. Within the transfer window we sell at the moment the market is strongest. No fixed price also means: no price that was artificially pinned low.
3. Quarterly payout
The proceeds land in your account every quarter, net of the service fee. That fee is 20% as standard, and referral discounts can lower it. The contract can be cancelled annually.
What you notice of the whole market
Nothing, and that is the point. Everything from the previous five parts happens behind the scenes: the ticket codes, the OTC deals, the vintages, the lot sizes. All you see is an amount arriving every quarter, and a dashboard where you can trace where it came from.
That is the whole proposition: a market too complex to enter on your own, reduced to one connection and a quarterly payout.
